TTP #231 - It Ain't Cool Being No Jive Turkey So Close to Thanksgiving.
I was poor and no one liked me.
This week Patsy and Ashes are discussing one of the best holiday films of all time - Trading Places! From Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve, this film has you covered for all the holiday hijinks you could want. Just kidding, they're discussing the societal, economic, and racial disparities between this film's main characters, Billy Ray Valentine (Eddie Murphy) and Louis Winthorp III (Dan Aykroyd). From their initial meeting to their eventual team-up, and all the hilarity that ensues all throughout. Of course, we have to also talk about Ophelia (Jamie Lee Curtis), Coleman (Denholm Elliott), Randolph and Mortimer Duke (Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche), and how their interactions with each form the way the characters turn out. Plus some recommendations on when not to be a jive turkey. All this and more on this week's episode!
